Precita Park is a block wide and two blocks long. It consists mostly of a grassy lawn with trees around the edge of the park. A children's playground is at the east end where the park meets Alabama St. The park is beloved of dog walkers and is also the scene of occasional public performances and gatherings.

19.93 acres of land. Most of the area has lights; paved jogging trail; park features 4 softball fields, 1 hardball field, 2 concession stands, 6 tennis courts and a covered basketball pavilion. Adjacent to the playground is an air-conditioned building and covered area that can be reserved for a fee.

There are a dozen tennis courts and 16 softball fields. The park's Bicentennial Plaza (open 7am-10pm Monday through Friday, 9am-5pm Saturday and Sunday), at the north end of the park off Randolph Street, has free locker rooms. Reservations for courts and fields should be made there and in advance; call (312) 742-7650. Of course, you can always just relax near the cool spray of historic Buckingham Fountain.

Tucked away in Lincoln Park, Adams Playground is truly a treasure in the community and welcomes neighbors into the park year-round. The park features a small field house that hosts indoor activities for the little ones - from Moms, Pops and Tots to Summer Camps.
When the weather warms up there is a water playground to cool off in and a newly renovated playground for families to gather.

This is one of a number of official off-leash areas in the city for dogs. There is a fenced off-leash dog area. Beginning in September, 2005 all dogs that use the dog parks are required to have an annual permit. The permits currently cost $5 per dog. You will have to visit an approved location to get a permit. Proof of certain vaccinations are also required.

The 2-acre park includes playground equipment, an athletic field, basketball hoops, and a sand box.
